Art of Marriage
Each of us receives love in our own way. Some prefer to hear encouraging words, while others want to see feelings put into action. God has done both, telling us numerous times in his Word of his love for us and sending Christ to save us through his enormous sacrifice on the cross. At this month's gathering, we’ll discuss God’s sacrificial agape love and how couples committed to loving each other God’s way can reflect his character to those around us.
Whether you’re a newlywed or have been married for decades, these gatherings can be your path to a stronger, more beautiful masterpiece of God’s handiwork.
Men's Cornhole Tournament
Join us next month for a Men’s Ministry Cornhole Tournament!
This will be a great opportunity to enjoy some friendly competition, connect with other men in our church, and build meaningful relationships. Whether you’re a seasoned player or have never tossed a bag before, all skill levels are welcome.
Our heart behind this event is simple: fellowship. We want to create space for encouragement, laughter, and stronger connections as we grow together in community.
The tournament will run from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hubbard's house, and we’ll have burgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill to enjoy while we play. Registration is just $5 to cover the cost of food.
This is also a perfect event to invite a friend—whether they attend church or not. It’s a relaxed and welcoming environment where guys can come together, have fun, and get to know one another.
Women's Picnic
Join us in the lower field on Sunday, June 14th after service for our annual Women’s Summer Picnic! Enjoy lunch, lawn games, and good conversation, along with an opportunity to meet your Secret Sister if you participated over the past few months! This is a free event, so come and bring some friends!

The Way Out
This life can feel like a desert wilderness. We’re tired, anxious, distracted, spiritually dry—like we’re on a wheel, going in circles. And underneath it all is a deeper ache: a hunger for God, for wholeness, for a life that feels truly alive. We keep reaching for things that promise to satisfy—success, comfort, control, escape—but the thirst comes back. If something doesn’t change, we won’t just be unhappy; we’ll slowly wither.
Jesus came to lead us out of slavery and death and into the life of God—into the place where we have what we truly need. The Sermon on the Mount is his invitation and his roadmap for that new life, here, now, today.
Let’s follow Jesus together, out of the wilderness and into God’s promise. All LifeGroups will follow along with the Sermon Series Pastor Anders will be going through on Sunday mornings.
Donations for Amirah
Amirah is a local organization that provides a refuge for those seeking to break free from exploitation and heal in community on their journey toward lasting hope. Amirah works in collaboration with state offices and peer service providers state-wide to coordinate comprehensive services for people trading sex, most of whom have experienced sex trafficking. Amirah provides resources and housing for these individuals.
We are partnering with Amirah to provide grab-and-go meal bags of breakfast food items for the people they serve. We will be collecting items in the Sanctuary Lobby on April 26th. We are asking all members of Freedom Hill to consider bringing donations of SHELF STABLE food items from the following list:
Entrees
Dried Produce
Snack
Sweet Treat
Beverage
Protein Pancake Cups
Trail Mix
Granola Bars
Diced Pears
Chocolate Milk
Then, Freedom Hill Women will gather the following Sunday, May 3rd, to put these bags together. They will spend time praying over the bags and writing notes of encouragement to the individuals who will be receiving these bags. Help us make a difference and share the love of God with these individuals.
April Marriage Gathering
Marriage is sort of like tape. Most tape is not meant to be removed easily. Good tape sticks well and attempting to separate it from what it holds together usually causes damage.. In this months discussion, we’ll explore the Hebrew word dabaq, which means “to cleave, cling, form a bond, stick.” It’s the word used in Genesis 2:24, “a man leaves his father and mother and bonds with his wife, and they become one flesh.” Once they are one, they are meant to remain together and risk damaging one another upon separation.
Whether you’re a newlywed or have been married for decades, these gatherings can be your path to a stronger, more beautiful masterpiece of God’s handiwork.

LifeGroups
Winter Session launches January 25th
All groups will be following along with our Sunday sermon series: The Wilderness.
Life feels like wandering through a wilderness sometimes, doesn’t it? The Israelites spent 40 years in the wilderness between slavery in Egypt and freedom in the Promised Land. They grumbled. They doubted. They tested God—and God tested them right back. They experienced mountain-shaking encounters with the Almighty, broke their promises practically on their wedding night, and somehow still found God’s faithfulness meeting them at every turn. Sound familiar?
Our lives are one long journey through the Wilderness.
This Wilderness is a dangerous and difficult place—it’s not where we’re supposed to live. But God uses the Wilderness to mold and shape us. The Wilderness is where self-sufficiency ends and God-dependence begins.
On Sundays, we’re diving into the story of Moses and the Israelites. Our LifeGroups will dive deeper into the things we talk about on Sundays. Make sure to sign up for a LifeGroup to get the most out of this series.
