Lead Pastor

Pastor Anders grew up in New York City, where he was a part of Free Gospel Church in Queens from the day he was born.

Anders and Christina were married in October 1994 and moved to South Hamilton, MA to attend Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in January of 1995. They both earned their Masters of Divinity degrees there while volunteering at Freedom Hill (then North Shore Assembly of God).

Anders became one of our associate pastors in 1999 and has served our church in various ministries over the years, leading teams in children, youth, young adults, Christian Education, small groups, worship, and hospitality ministries. He was ordained in 2010 through the General Council of the Assemblies of God.

In March 2012 Anders was elected to be our Lead Pastor. He is passionate about helping people understand God’s Word and apply it to their lives.

Anders loves music, and you’ll sometimes spot him jumping in with our team, playing guitar or piano. He loves his wife enough to watch the Great British Baking Show with her on repeat. And he loves their dog Dakota, even though Dakota loves Christina more.

Associate Pastor of Children’s Ministry

Pastor Christina has worked with children and youth in various settings for the past 35 years. She was born and raised in N.Y.C. where she came to know the Lord as a freshman in high school.

Christina received her B.A. in English and Urban Studies from the City University of New York at Queens College. Throughout college she was very active in youth and children’s ministry at her church in Queens where she met and later married Anders in 1994.

In 1995, Christina and Anders moved up to the Boston area to study at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. That year they began attending Freedom Hill (North Shore Assembly of God). They started volunteering in youth and children’s ministries, and on the worship team. They also launched a young adult ministry as part of their seminary internship.

Christina received her M.Div. in 1999. She spent a year as the Bible teacher at a local Christian school before being hired by our church to help start Kids’ Place, our after school and summer day program in 2000. That year she also was part of the team that started our church’s food pantry. She has directed the food pantry as a volunteer ever since.

Christina was ordained through the General Council of the Assemblies of God in 2010 and became our church’s children’s pastor in 2012. In 2019 she began overseeing the youth ministry as well.

Not having known the Lord as a child, Christina is passionate about helping young people experience a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and understand God’s purpose for their lives.

She enjoys music, reading, playing frisbee with Anders and their dog Dakota, and watching the Great British Baking Show.
